In a studio or a small kitchen, it is important to use tricks to save space. Bosch understands this and offers you to make a folding table yourself, ideal for small spaces. Its main asset? It offers two uses: a work surface and a mirror. Here is the step by step in pictures to achieve it. With your tools!

Supplies

- 2 wooden panels of size 80 x 60 x 2 cm - 4 metal hinges - 1 mirror of 60 x 40 cm - 1 roll of scotch tape for mirror - 2 L-shaped hooks + suitable dowels of 6 mm - 1 bucket of dark gray acrylic paint - 10 mm wood drill bits - 6 mm concrete drill bit - Screw (4 x 60 mm) - Paper or film to cover the paint area - 1 masking tape roller - 1 set square - 1 pencil - 1 long ruler - Bosch PST 18 Ll cordless jigsaw - Bosch PSR 18 Ll cordless screwdriver - Bosch PFS 3000-2 paint spray gun - Bosch cordless hammer drill. Step 1: Create the table leg

Create the table leg for the folding table from the first wooden panel. To do this, use the pencil and draw a rectangle on the panel. The rectangle must be drawn 10 cm from each edge of the panel. When measuring and marking, it is useful to use a square and a long ruler.

Step 2: Drill the corners

Drill the four corners of the drawn rectangle using a 10 mm wood drill. Tip: the drilled hole must touch the inside of the marked lines but not overlap them.

Step n ° 3: Cut the rectangle

Cut the rectangle drawn using the cordless jigsaw, starting by sawing the angles.

Step 4: Sand the edges

Sand the cut edges using the cordless sander to complete the leg of the folding table (which will also be the wooden frame of the mirror).

Step 5: Paint the frame

Cover the work area with a protective film and paint the wooden frame with the paint sprayer. Then coat the metal hinges and the second wooden panel which will later constitute the table top, with acrylic paint.

Step n ° 6: Fix the hinges

Once the paint is dry, assemble the table leg and the table top at the short sides using two metal hinges. Tip: check that the two wooden parts completely overlap when folded before screwing the hinges on completely.

Step 7: Mark the position of the mirror

Mark the position of the mirror on the underside of the table top. To do this, place the mirror on top of the table and align it in the center of the table using masking tape, to mark the outline of the mirror.

Step 8: Apply the adhesive tape

Apply the tape to the back of the mirror.

Step 9: Position the mirror

Turn the mirror over and gently place it on the table along the marks.

Step 10: Assemble the table

Mount the top of the table, below which the mirror is placed, on the wall using two metal hinges, so that the table can be folded up. To do this, first use the 6 mm concrete drill bit and the cordless hammer drill, to drill holes where the hinges will be screwed into the wall, and insert the appropriate 6 mm dowels. Use the cordless hammer drill to screw the hinges to the wall and table. Then fold the tray up and put two L-shaped hooks on the wall, right and left of the panel. L-shaped hooks secure the table top in the folded up position to reveal the mirror. To return the mirror to the table position, simply press the mirror, turn the L-shaped hooks clockwise
